Carpentry & Trim · Belle Isle & Orlando, FL

Carpentry & Trim done right.

Trim is where craftsmanship shows. Tight miters, level reveals, and joints that don't open when the AC swings 20° aren't accidents — they're the result of acclimating material, pre-painting before install, gluing every joint, and pinning at the right angle. We install crown, baseboard, casing, chair rail, wainscoting, and full built-ins to a paint-grade or stain-grade finish.

What you get

The carpentry & trim standard.

Crown molding, baseboards, doors, casing, wainscoting, and built-ins with tight miters and no caulk cover-ups.

  • Coped joints on crown & base (not just mitered)
  • Pre-finished trim where possible
  • Glued + nailed joints that stay tight
  • Caulk for paint lines, not gap cover-ups
  • Interior door hang & adjustment
  • Custom built-ins, shelves, and millwork

Our process

How a carpentry & trim job runs.

No mystery, no surprises. Here's exactly what happens from quote to final walk-through — the same way every time.

  1. STEP 01

    Design & measure

We talk profiles (modern flat, traditional ogee, craftsman square), measure linear footage, account for waste, and quote.

  2. STEP 02

    Acclimate & pre-finish

MDF and pine sit in your home 24–48 hours before install to acclimate. We prime and topcoat one side before install so finish lines are crisp.

  3. STEP 03

    Cope, glue, pin

Inside corners are coped (not mitered) on crown and base. Joints get wood glue. Pin nailer for crown, 16-ga for base. Reveals are measured, not eyeballed.

  4. STEP 04

    Caulk & paint

Caulk goes on paint lines only — never to hide a bad joint. Touch-up paint or stain over the install for a seamless finish.

Frequently asked

Carpentry & Trim questions, answered.

Do you cope crown molding or just miter it?

+

We cope every inside corner on crown and baseboard. Coped joints stay tight when the house moves with humidity; mitered inside corners open up within a year in Florida.

Can you match existing trim profiles?

+

Yes. We bring a sample of your existing profile to our trim supplier and either find an exact match or have a custom knife run for larger jobs.

Do you install pre-hung doors?

+

Yes — pre-hung and slab. Pre-hung in an existing rough opening runs $320–$520 installed. Slab into existing jamb runs $180–$280 with new hinges and a strike.
