Deck & Fence Staining · Belle Isle & Orlando, FL

Deck & Fence Staining done right.

Florida sun turns deck and fence wood grey in 18 months. We bring it back: pressure-wash to bare wood, sand the fuzz off, replace any rotted boards, set every popped nail or screw, then apply a transparent, semi-transparent, or solid stain rated for foot traffic and UV. Stain penetrates rather than films, so it wears gracefully and doesn't peel.

Our process

How a deck & fence staining job runs.

No mystery, no surprises. Here's exactly what happens from quote to final walk-through — the same way every time.

  1. STEP 01

    Inspect & quote

We probe every board for rot, flag loose railings, and quote the staining plus any carpentry repairs in one fixed price.

  2. STEP 02

    Wash & strip

Soft pressure-wash with a wood brightener to remove grey oxidation. Old film-forming stains get stripped before re-coat.

  3. STEP 03

    Sand & repair

Belt-sand horizontals to remove the fuzz left by washing. Replace rotted boards, set every fastener flush.

  4. STEP 04

    Stain & seal

Two coats of penetrating stain on horizontals, one on verticals. We work in shade or on overcast days so the stain absorbs evenly.

Frequently asked

Deck & Fence Staining questions, answered.

Transparent, semi-transparent, or solid stain — which is best?

+

Transparent shows the most grain but needs re-coat every 1–2 years. Semi-transparent is the sweet spot for Florida — 2–3 year cycle, good UV protection, grain still visible. Solid stains look like paint and last 4–6 years but can peel if the wood gets damp underneath.

Can you save a deck that's grey and splintering?

+

Almost always. Pressure-washing + a wood brightener removes the grey oxidation, belt-sanding takes off the splintered fibers, and a fresh stain locks it back in. We've brought 15-year-old decks back to life.

How often does a deck need re-staining in Florida?

+

Plan on 2–3 years for a semi-transparent on a sunny deck. Shaded decks can go 3–4. We'll tell you honestly when it's time.
